Digital Transition

The transition to digital tv has been delayed so many times for a "more phased transition". There is an estamated 6.5 billion people who are not ready for it. Another reason is because people have yet to switch their tv's and some people are trying to fight it saying what an inconnveniance it is going to be, especially for senior citizens. Lawmakers and corporations are opposed to the delay because they say it would only increase the confucion about the "impending transition" and also that "no matter witch date you establish there is always going to be someone who didn't get the message". Broadcasters were scheduled to end analog broadcasts, now they cannot stick to their schedule because the date has been puched back again. They feel as if they have created a stimulis package to ease the transition, yet more is still wanted of them.
Only the houseolds with older TV's and or antennas need to convert, all others are ready for the transition. The households with those older TV's and or antennas will have to buy a converter box to change the signals into digital. What is making this process more difficult is that many people have not recieved their governmant coupon for the new converter boxes.
